FACE:
As mentioned before, a bird's face is pointed, which allows it to cut the wind and soar, whereas the human face is flat and takes up a lot of air.The main component is getting a beak because that is what makes a bird's face pointed, however, beak isn't essential because all we need is to get our face pointed outward.
BODY:
There are many similarities between the human body and the bird as you can see. Some of the things we would need to add to make our structure more like a bird is have the muscles across the chest rather than to have it in our arms. reduce our head size so that we don't have to carry so much brain around. As explained in the "genetic" page on this website, we need to grow wings genetically. We also need to remove unnecessary body parts like body fat to reduce our weight and make us lighter. [5]
ARM MUSCLES:
Majority of the bird muscles are found in the chest so they can leave their wings light and don't have a big load to carry. The human arm is more buff. We have a lot of muscles in the arm and that makes it a much heavier load for our bodies to carry. Some of the things we would need to add to make our structure more like a bird is have the muscles across the chest rather than to have it in our arms. [5]
